I cannot recommend Sho and Fairway Golf Japan enough! I don’t golf much myself, so when I decided to surprise my husband with a special golf experience for his birthday during our trip to Japan, I honestly had no idea where to start. Sho made the entire process incredibly easy from day one. From the very beginning, Sho was incredibly responsive and genuinely took the time to understand what would make the experience special for my husband. We talked about how often he golfs, his average score, what he enjoys about golf, and what we were looking for in the experience. He then did all of the research for me and gave me different course options based on location, price, travel time, weather, how tourist-friendly the courses were, caddy availability, and even the different club rental options available at each course. We ultimately decided on Narashino Country Club, and it ended up being the perfect choice. Sho told me that it was the course where Tiger Woods won the Zozo Championship, which I thought was such a cool connection because my husband loves watching golf. I never would have known that on my own! Sho handled all of the bookings and arrangements, including figuring out the rental clubs. He even helped me identify which places had left-handed clubs since I’m a lefty. We also considered playing near Mt. Fuji, but with the longer travel time and unpredictable weather, Sho helped me weigh the options and ultimately choose what made the most sense for us. And then he went WAY above and beyond. Sho actually picked us up and took us to the course himself. On the drive there, he and my husband hit it off so well that my husband ended up inviting Sho to join us for the round. Sho was completely down, and it made the day even more memorable! 😂 Throughout the entire experience, Sho was taking photos and videos for us so we could actually have the memories captured. He also helped translate and communicate with our caddy, which made the experience so much smoother. He really thought of everything. What started as me secretly planning a surprise birthday golf experience for my husband turned into one of the most memorable days of our entire Japan trip. Sho wasn’t just our golf coordinator — he genuinely became part of the experience. If you’re planning to golf in Japan, I HIGHLY recommend Sho and Fairway Golf Japan. And honestly, even if you don’t know much about golf (like me!), Sho will take the time to understand what you’re looking for and help create an experience that’s right for you. We had an amazing round at Fugaku Country Club! Playing golf with a view of Mt. Fuji was such a great experience and definitely one of our favorite memories from Japan. We’d love to play there again next time we’re in Japan!
